A VISIT FROM THE ‘OLD SALTS’ OF 1979

A VISIT FROM THE ‘OLD SALTS’ OF 1979

It was indeed a great morning on the 24th June 2013 when a group of ‘Old Boys’ from the ‘Class of 1979’ paid a visit to their beloved school, SMK Methodist (ACS) Ipoh. For Mr. KT Pillai, Mr. Moses Ooi, Mr. Jason Wong, Mr. Ronnie Tan, Mr. Sie Weng Tseng and Mr. Thong Chee Keong, the old buildings of ACS, the classrooms, the library, the swimming pool and even the corridors, which year after year have been the pathways for the ACS students, are special places which remind them of their younger days. To make sure that ACS remains a place which nurtures young men into strong, dynamic and successful men, Mr Ronnie Tan presented a cheque of RM10,000 to the principal, Pn. Soot Mooy Ching. The money was raised during a reunion dinner among the school’s former students held in Kuala Lumpur. Their purpose was to give something back to the school. Now it is up to Pn. Soot to decide on how to use it. Many thanks to the ‘Old Salts’ who still remember their Alma Mater.
